We require a $50 deposit on each goat being held or reserved (wethers are $30 deposit). We only sell
goats to persons 18 years of age or older (so minor's will need an adult to agree to purchase agreement).
We offer 4-H Discounts, FFA Discounts, multiple goat discounts and sometimes early pick up discounts. If
you do not live near us, we are sometimes able to help with delivery. Please check with us before
reserving a goat if you need us to help with transportation. Goats that are not picked up on the agreed
date, will be held for no more than 2 weeks past the agreed holding date unless other arangements have
been made (before the pick up date) and agreed upon by the purchaser and us. We do charge a feed and
board fee of $2 per day, per goat, for any goat that is not picked up by the agreed date (unless we have
agreed otherwise). We reserve the right to offer a goat for sale if it has not been picked up by two weeks
past the agreed pick up date (deposit will be retained). Deposits are non-refundable but they go toward
the full cost of the goat. We do not return deposits because you changed your mind, do not have your
facilities ready or you can not make pick up arrangements. We do refund your deposit if we do not provide
you with your first or second choice goat and we do not provide a replacement that is suitable to the
purchaser. We also refund deposits if we feel the reserved goat is unsuitable to be sold, because of a
physical flaw, illness, or any other reason that we feel the goat would not be a quality animal or might not
be able to travel.
We practice a very strict CAE and CL prevention program. All kids are bottle raised on heat treated
colostrum and pasteurized milk away from adult animals. We feel that our disease prevention program is
very effective. If you would like a CAE or CL test done on a goat you have reserved, we need to be notified
of this at the time you reserve the goat and NOT a week or a couple days before the pick up date. Testing
costs need to be paid prior to testing, by the purchaser and is seperate from your deposit.
Pick up and transportation is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are occasionally able to deliver to
Salem, Portland or Grants Pass, but arrangements must be made prior to purchase. Health papers are
required if you are transporting the goat to a state other than Oregon. Health papers are at the cost of the
purchaser. If a goat needs to be shipped on a plane, we charge the price of the goat plus $100 (time, gas
and health papers) and the buyer must cover the air shipping costs in full as well as the cost of the
shipping kennel.
We also reserve the right to delay a pick up date, if we feel a goat is ill or not fit for travel. We will try to
give as much advance notice as possible in this situation.
We do require the balance in cash, at the time of pick up. We are happy to give you a receipt at that time
along with registration applications/ registration/ tranfers/ etc, at that time.
We guarantee our goats are healthy upon leaving the farm. We have several pleased customers and would
be happy to provide references upon request.
Finally, the most important thing to us, is that our goats go to great homes. We require that homes have a
minimum of a three sided shelter (with a good roof) that is dry and draft-free, a goat safe fenced yard and
are willing to provide the proper food and care. We reserve the right to refuse to sell a goat if we feel that
these conditions are not going to be met. We are always happy to provide support, care information,
feeding information and additional resources when you purchase a goat from us.
