I bought Promise from Carol Murphy in 2007.
What I thought at the time was a cute but kind
of plain 5 month old kid. That kid turned into a
really gorgeous one year old first freshener!
Promise has completely lived up to her name!
As you can see from the photos, this is really
an amazing doe! Promise has done extremely
well as a milker, in the show ring, with her
appraisal scores and with her great personality!
Promise is probably our easiest milker as she
has fantastic teat dilineation as well as
placement! We are so thrilled to have recently
aquired Promise's dam, Hope! We also have 5
of Promises half-sisters and every single one is
amazing! These photos are of Promise as a one
year old and the photos below are of Promise
with her 2 year old half sisters. They took First
Place Alpine Get of Sire at 2008 Lane County
Fair- All were first fresheners at the time. In
2007, we bred Promise to Mt Zion Deja
Bacchanalia, she blessed us with a doe kid
and a buck kid. We have of course retained her
first doe kid, Passion.
Promise is bred to ROC-et for 2009. We will be
retaining one doe and possibly one buck from
that breeding. Thank you so much to Carol
Murphy for all of these amazing girls! Also thank
you to The Mt Zion herd for producing the sire
of these girls, Mt Zion Khartoum Khamal.
It is now 2009 and Promise has easily caught
up in size to her two older sisters, Shadow and
China Doll, as a matter of fact, I do think she
might be some serious competition for either of
them.

Promise has an amazing udder
with nearly perfect teat size and
placement! Everyone that milks
here on our ranch, agrees she is
the easiest milker of all of our
does!
