(sorry, terrible pose)
I saw Persephone on Brookshire Farm's website back in 2006
and I just fell in love with her! Persephone is a very dairy doe,
with great breed character, lots of width, depth in body, great
legs and feet, and she is one of those types that keeps getting
better with age. Persephone is probably our easiest keepers.
She really "utilizes her feed"! Okay, you get the picture, she is
rather plump! Persephone was the biggest yearling I have ever
owned! Persephone is now about to turn thee and she is
awsome! Persephone has tons of personality and is an
attention hog. She is also a good milker at about 7-8 pounds per
day. We figure if she ever has more than one kid, that will get
even higher. Persephone appraised at 84 as a two year old.
Persephone is bred to Six M Galaxy Nutcracker.
Due March 28th
We really love the bloodlines in Persephone's pedigree. 2009 will be
Persephone's third kidding. She is bred to Six M Galaxy Nutcracker and boy that
should improve production in all of his daughters! Persephone kidded in early
April with one doeling that looks just like her, she even responds to "Persephone"
but her name is Bermuda.
Persephone's first daughter will freshen in spring 2009.
